    The inverse association between alcohol consumption and risk of CHD in the Health Professionals Follow-up Study (A) and the Nurses' Health Study (B). The β-coefficient (also called the regression coefficient) is the natural log of the odds ratio in frequency of consumption per week. The basic model controls for age, smoking, and date of blood sample return (39).
