In the article entitled “Rising Social Inequalities in US Childhood Obesity, 2003–2007” by Singh et al., in the January 2010 issue of Annals of Epidemiology (Volume 20, Number 1, pages 40-52), the fourth sentence of the “Results” section of the abstract should read as follows:

In 2007, Hispanic, non-Hispanic Black, and American Indian children had 3.0–3.8 times higher odds of obesity and overweight than Asian children; children from low-income and low-education households had 3.4–4.3 times higher odds of obesity than children from higher socioeconomic households.

The third sentence of the third paragraph on page 45 should also read as follows:

The full extent of racial/ethnic disparities can be seen for 2007; after adjusting for age and gender, Hispanic, non-Hispanic Black, and American Indian children had 3.4 to 3.8 times higher odds of obesity and 3.0 to 3.5 times higher odds of overweight than Asian children.
